Is this app useful?

With the Portals app you can find wallets containing public key texts of your choosing. If you have a vanity address you desire or have previously lost wallets you can use this app as a tool to find them.


How do I find a wallet?

To find wallets you need to manually add the addresses you wish to find inside the app "Generator Settings"


Why cant I copy the private key of a wallet?

Due to security concerns we do not allow you to copy your private key to your clipboard. Android clipboard is not always secure and third party applications have been previously been known to access it without authorisation.


How do I copy my private key?

For security purposes, the best method to get the private key of a wallet is to write it down from the app.


How often should I back up my vault?

Every time you make a purchase or find a new wallet you should create a new backup.


I've lost my vault, how can I recover it.

If you lose access your vault and backup vault files, there is no way to recover it. This is a security measure for our users and we don't store your vault. We recommend frequent backups in a secure location.


I had good wallet and lost my vault, is there really no way to recover it?

As long as you remember your public key, you can actually use the app and attempt to find your lost wallet.


What is the format of the Bitcoin private key?

Bitcoin portal wallet private keys are displayed in WIF format (Wallet Import Format).


How do I access the bitcoin with the WIF private key

We cannot endorse any third party wallet, exchange or sweeper. In saying that, numerous popular apps exist that will allow you to import your WIF private key and are a web search away. Do your research first and be careful. You should never enter your private key in to a website. Websites can save these private keys and use them to steal any bitcoins you send to its address.


Can the Portals App be used with no internet connection?

Yes.


Should I store Bitcoin in my Portal wallet?

We have no control over your usage of wallets. We stress that you do your research before you move any cryptocurrency.
